Sorrelstar's Reign

Sorrelclan was established during the rise of Mothclaw in Cherryclan, one of the then-two clans in Lake Tahoe. Sorrelstar was a former house cat who got lost while exploring but took to a loner's life easily and quickly, enjoying the new scenery and the challenges she faced when trying to survive. Eventually, she found what would become the Moonpool, and as she slept there, two cats, Cherrystar and Froststar, came to her and established her as the first leader of Sorrelclan. Sorrelstar then set up a border and camp, and made her first objective to unite the former house cats and loners scattered throughout the forest.

The first two cats who joined were both mollies: Fulmarpaw, formerly Celeste, and Monkeyface, whose former name was unknown. After a moon of Fulmarpaw being apprenticed to Sorrelstar so that the leader could help both mollies acclimate to clan life, the apprentice was given to Monkeyface. After a relatively uneventful apprenticeship, Fulmarpaw became the warrior Fulmarwhisker and allowed Monkeyface to become a deputy, as the Warrior Code stated that deputies must have mentored at least one cat before being considered.
