The Warrior Code
Lesser Codes

Do not hunt or trespass on another clan's territory.

Elders, queens, and kits must be fed before apprentices and warriors unless they are sick or injured, in which case the latter group may eat at the same time as the former.

Prey is killed only to be eaten. Give thanks to Starclan for its life.

A Gathering of all groups is held at the full moon during a truce that lasts for the night. There will be no fighting between groups at this time.

Boundaries must be checked and marked daily. Challenge all trespassing cats.
Greater Codes

Defend your clan, even with your life. You may have friendships with cats from other groups but your loyalty must remain to your clan.

A kit must be at least six moons old to become an apprentice.

No warrior can neglect a kit in pain or danger, even if it is from a rival group.

An honorable warrior does not need to kill other cats to win their battles, unless they are outside the Codes or if it is necessary for self-defense.

The word of the clan leader is the clan's law.
The Deputy Codes

A cat cannot be made deputy without having mentored at least one apprentice.

The deputy will become the clan's leader when the previous leader dies, retires, or is exiled.

After the death or retirement of the deputy, a new deputy must be chosen before moonhigh.
The Medicine Cat Codes

Medicine cats must not show favor to any cat, even to family or cats from a different group.

Medicine cats cannot harm other cats unless it is necessary for self-defense.
Clan Laws

The leader and/or deputy will make important announcements from the Speaker's Tree.

Apprentices will be taken to the Moonpool to receive guidance from their ancestors before taking part in assessments.

Female deputies who are currently nursing will choose a warrior who will convey their commands to the rest of the clan. The deputy can resume her role any time after her kits are weaned.

Willful murder is cause for the death penalty, which is done either via poison or the Leader's Justice. Willful conspiracy to murder is cause for banishment.
