Every so often, a cat would come into Forestclan bearing an unusual name they refused to change. The clan adapted to include many of these names in prefixes and suffixes, with meanings derived from the first cat to hold the name.

Non-Traditional Prefixes

Chocolate-: brown, possibly tabby

Daffodil-: ginger with white

Ezio-: russet brown

Hill-: brown tabby, possibly with white

Isidora-: dark brown tabby with white

Koi-: tortoiseshell with white or calico

Lev-: high contrast ginger tabby

Mila-: solid black-and-white

Nour-: ruddy fawn

Ophelia-: primarily white calico

Peach-: light ginger

Scorch-: red

Spark-: ginger

Tumble-: light ginger

Traditional Suffixes

-claw: a superior fighter

-cloud: consistently calm

-face: epitome of beauty

-fang: equally good fighter and hunter

-flower: extremely maternal/paternal

-foot: a superior runner

-fur: shorthaired

-heart: consistently holds to a set of morals

-leaf: a superior healer

-nose: a superior tracker

-pelt: longhaired

-step: acts like their prefix

-storm: consistently changeable and emotional

-stream: a superior swimmer/fisher

-stripe: has noticeable striping (mackerel tabby)

-tail: superior agility

-whisker: a superior hunter

-bush: qualified for 2+ specialty suffixes

-fire: consistently excitable and passionate

-swirl: has noticeable striping (classic tabby)

-toes: well-rounded and stealthy

-tuft: semi-longhaired
