Territory

Cherryclan is located in the Nekko Forest and its most heavily-patrolled territory is near the lake, which contains the cherry trees that give the clan its name. Farther from the lake, most trees are deciduous and much of the landscape is mountainous.

Landmarks

Burial Grounds: The burial grounds for those believed to have gone to Starclan are near a human building. Cats will be left for the humans to discover because humans are capable of burying the dead efficiently and in one piece, helping their spirits leave the body. Those believed to have gone to the Dark Forest are dragged away from the camp and left to rot, where the resulting decomposition and consumption of the body by other animals is believed to split the soul and make it difficult to leave the body.

Fox Den: The fox den is the location of a semi-abandoned fox den. Every so often, warriors will chase out new foxes that attempt to take up residence in it. It's northwest of the camp, 15 minutes away (based on the human stride).

Sparring Place: The Sparring Place is where apprentices traditionally go to learn how to fight. Sometimes, tournaments will be organized between apprentices so that they may learn from each other.

Camp

Cherryclan's camp is surrounded by trees and brush. All dens are beneath the roots of cherry trees and are continually being enlarged--a seasons-long project since cats are not typically suited to digging. During the summer, most cats will sleep outside of the dens with the exception of the extremely young and extremely old. The fresh-kill pile is in the center of camp and although the region often has some prey, it's cleared out very quickly; cats rarely leave anything for more than a day and apprentices and younger warriors are tasked to clear out rot. The Basking Log, a log near the warriors' den, is in perfect position to catch sunlight which means that cats in camp during the day are often seen lying on it, giving the log its name.

The leader's den is beneath the roots largest cherry tree directly across from the entrance, and is large enough to hold four cats at a time. To its right is the medicine cats' den, which is pitted with holes that hold various substances including herbs, honey, and water. The medicine cats never sleep in it; rather, they quarantine their patients in the den until they have healed. The nursery is to the right of the medicine cats' den, and rarely needs to hold more than four queens at a time although warriors and apprentices expand it every time it empties. To the right of the nursery is the warriors' den.

To the left of the leader's den is the elder's den, the smallest of all the dens as there are rarely enough cats to fill it to capacity. In times when there are no elders, apprentices or warriors will take over the den, keeping it clean and well-used as well as expanding it for future generations. The apprentice's den is to the left of the elders' den and while some younger cats complain about the proximity, seeing it as a clever excuse to give them elder duty, the true reason is the den to its left--the senior warriors' den, exclusive to cats 70 moons and older. The position of the warriors' dens allows them to be closer to the entrance and therefore better capable of defending the camp if need be.
